2023 South Side Alumni Association/Foundation Scholarship Recipients

Thanks to the generosity of our South Side Family of Alumni and Friends, we are honored to announce the 14 recipients of the 2023 South Side High School Alumni Association/Foundation Scholarships totaling $39,150. These amazing students have demonstrated a work ethic that has made them outstanding candidates for these Awards, and have shown that they will use their knowledge and education to continue to strive for success.


Kailani Johnson – Jennifer Manth I Scholarship – $2,700 to study Art Administration at
Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Lisbet Diaz – Mary Graham 2-year Technical Scholarship – $2,550 to study Radiologic
Technology at University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN

Grace Gillie –General Endowment Scholarship – $2,500 to study Psychology/ Neuroscience with minor in Spanish at University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN

Jaclyn Embry – Toy Hansen Family Scholarship – $2,500 to study Pharmacy at Purdue
University in West Lafayette, IN

Elizabeth Aylward – Jennifer Manth Scholarship II – $2,700 to study Political
Science/Journalism and minor Spanish at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN

Parris Bevelle – Class of 72 Golden Scholarship – $2,500 to study Criminal Justice at
either Ball State University or University of Indianapolis

Nathaniel Pickett – Jack Weicker Scholarship – $2,250 to study Music Education at
Manchester University in North Manchester, IN

Liz Herandez – Ron Holmes Scholarship – $2,500 to study Marketing, at Indiana
